The Nampa School Board appointed Jason Su as the new Zone 3 trustee at a special meeting held Aug. 30. The seat has been vacant since Trustee Tracey Pearson’s resignation in June.
Su is assistant director of operations for the Meridian Library District and has children attending the Nampa School District. He was selected from a group of six candidates following interviews held Aug. 23. Both the Aug. 23 and Aug. 30 special meetings were streamed and can be viewed on the district’s YouTube channel.
Su will be sworn into office at the Sept. 18, 2023, regular board meeting; the seat expires in December 2025.
