Fourth-Grader Named to National Raisin Board

Centennial Elementary fourth-grader Jude Kelso has been selected as one of five nationwide winners of a one-year seat on the Sun-Maid Raisin Board of Imagination.

The highly competitive position includes quarterly meetings with the Sun-Maid executive team, where the five young board members provide imaginative and creative feedback on a product-related challenge.

Prizes include a $5,000 deposit into a college savings account for Jude, and $5,000 and a year’s worth of Sun-Maid products for his school.

Jude’s journey began when his parents filled out an application questionnaire. Sun-Maid then narrowed the field of finalists and Jude was asked to submit a video application. The five winners were selected by popular vote.

Jude learned of his selection at a surprise ceremony at his school on Thursday, March 31.
