Several senior government students from Skyview High School joined Gov. Brad Little on Oct. 13 as he proclaimed October “Next Steps Idaho” month. Following the signing of the proclamation, Gov. Little invited students to visit and ask questions. The students later worked on both the Apply Idaho and Scholarship Idaho applications with assistance from college and career counselors.
“October is an important month on our academic calendar because high school seniors throughout our state are using Apply Idaho on the State Board of Education’s website to submit their college applications,” Idaho State Board of Education President Kurt Liebich. “We want to make sure high school students and parents are aware of Apply Idaho, in part because they can submit their applications free of charge and the Governor’s proclamation helps us get the word out.”
