Greenhurst Water Leak

Oct. 26, 2020

Dear parents,

As you are aware, we had an unfortunate water leak at Greenhurst that caused some damage within one of our classrooms this past week. During the clean-up process, district employees encountered a substance believed to be mold.

The district called in experts to run tests and those tests determined mold was present in one classroom. Further testing revealed that the mold was not airborne and no spread occurred within the building. The mold has been removed and the water damage repaired. However, in an extra-step of caution, the district will be doing a thorough review and examination of the building to ensure there are no further issues.

As we mentioned previously, we anticipate being out of our building for a few weeks for online learning. Once our building is inspected, we will be allowed to return. We apologize again for this unexpected maintenance issue and we look forward to seeing you online!
