March 2020 Election Information

Election day is March 10. In addition to the presidential primary candidates (if applicable), ballots will include the Nampa School District supplemental levy request. Following is helpful information for those who wish to participate in this democratic process.

 

REGISTRATION

If you are not registered to vote, you may pre-register by Feb. 14, 2020. You can find a registration card online at https://apps.idahovotes.gov/OnlineVoterRegistration. Registration cards may be mailed or delivered to the Canyon County Elections Office at 1102 E. Chicago in Caldwell.

 

You also may register at the polls with proof of residency and photo ID (Idaho driver’s license or photo ID, or a current student photo ID issued by an Idaho high school or post-secondary education institution).

 

EARLY AND ABSENTEE VOTING

Early voting is available from Feb. 24-March 6, 2020, at the Canyon County Elections Office during normal business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The office is located at 1102 E. Chicago in Caldwell.

 

You also may vote by absentee ballot. You will need to request an absentee ballot by completing and signing a request form (including mandatory party affiliation), found at https://www.canyonco.org/elected-officials/clerk/elections/ and mailing or delivering it to the Canyon County Elections Office before 5 p.m. Feb. 28, 2020. You also may scan your form and email it to electionsclerk@canyonco.org. Absentee ballots must be returned to the Elections Office or your polling place by 8 p.m. March 10, 2020.
