School Climate Survey

In February 2019, students in grades 3-12 from all NSD schools, parents, teachers and other staff members were asked for feedback about their school’s climate and learning environment. Positive school climate is an essential component of successful and effective schools. It is defined as shared beliefs, values, and attitudes that shape interactions between students, teachers, and administrators, while setting the parameters of acceptable behavior and norms for a school.

Results reflect the perceptions and opinions of survey participants. Findings for each item exclude participants who did not answer or who answered “I Don’t Know.” Responses are being evaluated by building and district administrators in order to strengthen our schools and programs.

For a quick summary of survey responses aggregated across all of our schools, check out this presentation.
