Six elementary school principals named for 2015-16

The Nampa School District announces new principals who will lead six elementary schools in the 2015-16 school year.   

                Dominic de la Paz will lead Endeavor Elementary School. He has worked as a teacher and administrator in the Nampa School District since 2009. He taught at Skyview High School and was a dean at Nampa High School.

                Laurie Maughan will lead Reagan Elementary School. Prior to joining the district, Maughan was a K-12 principal for Lincoln Public Montana Public Schools in Lincoln, Mont. for seven years. She taught kindergarten and first grade in Lincoln before becoming a principal.

Karla Reynolds will lead Snake River Elementary School. She has more than 25 years’ experience as a teacher and administrator in the Kuna and Nampa school districts including 16 years as a principal and vice principal at the elementary and secondary levels.   

                Amy Taylor will lead Park Ridge Elementary School. She has worked as a teacher and administrator in the Nampa School District since 1999. She taught at Owyhee and Greenhurst elementary schools and served as an assistant principal at Iowa and Sherman elementary schools.

                Chuck Silzly will lead Owyhee Elementary School. He has nearly 20 years of experience as a teacher and administrator in the Kuna School District including 13 years as a principal and assistant principal at the elementary and secondary levels.

                Chance Whitmore will lead Iowa Elementary School. He has nearly 20 years of experience as a teacher and administrator in the Caldwell and Nampa school districts including eight years as an assistant principal and dean at the secondary level.
