District partners with Right at School to provide after school service at six schools
The nationally recognized after school program, Right At School, is coming to serve families in the Nampa School District.
Starting this fall six elementary schools -- Centennial, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lake Ridge, New Horizons Dual Language Magnet, Owyhee Elementary, and Willow Creek Elementary -- will be open until 6 p.m. and Right at School will provide a high quality, enriching after school program.
Right at School will offer healthy snacks and fun fitness activities and the children will have the opportunity to complete homework before joining in exciting programs – art, science, outdoor, community service, etc. -- that will change throughout the year.
Parents will be able to work with Right at School to create flexible monthly schedules that support families’ busy lives. Drop-in care also is an option. Right at School also will be available on Early Release Wednesdays, vacations and holidays, and in the summer.
We are excited to join the Idaho Falls and Bonneville school districts in partnering with Right At School to provide this much needed service to our families. And please know, your local tax dollars are not funding this service. Families participating will pay a fee similar to that charged by other services in the community.
