With the recent announcement that the Nampa School District will be closing and repurposing some buildings for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, it has become necessary to reboundary the Nampa School District. This process will allow the district to balance school enrollments and use its resources more efficiently. The reboundary decision will have a direct impact on the open enrollment process. We anticipate this reboundary process will be completed at a Special School Board meeting in early April, 2024.
The Nampa School District will activate open enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year on Tuesday, February 20th at 12:00pm at https://www.nsd131.org/apps/pages/OpenEnrollment. It is possible that with new school boundaries being drawn, it may result in some currently and/or open enrolled students being zoned into a different school than they are currently attending. Therefore, the district will not be able to grant open enrollment requests until the reboundary process is completed.
Open Enrollment will be considered on the following Idaho State criteria:
· Previous Expulsion
· Discipline and Behavior
· Chronic Absenteeism
· Capacity Limits
As soon as the reboundary process is complete, open enrollment notifications will be sent as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we go through this process.
